Did you know: the library hosts monthly book groups at various senior apartment complexes and retirement communities in the area?  These include: Maiden Bridge and Canongate Apartments, The Residence at Whitehall, and South Hills Square Retirement Resort.  If you are a resident or know someone who is, feel free to join the club!

Classic Works: Back to School Edition

Meets the last Saturday of the month at 11:30 AM

Is your copy of War and Peace propping open the front door? Have you started Pride and Prejudice more times than your car?

If so, join the book club devoted to turning that masterpiece into a piece of cake! We’ll tackle another classic work each month to see if it deserves its place on history’s highest shelf.

After such a long hiatus, it’s time to revisit the books from school we couldn’t understand or lied about reading altogether. It’s time to give those classroom favorites a second chance! Let’s hit the books!

For information about joining this group, contact Brandon at taperb2@einetwork.net.

Getting Cozy with Brandon: A Mystery Storytime for Adults

Starts June 30th.

Meets Thursdays at 1:00 PM until the book is finished!

The world’s problems can often feel overwhelming and without any solutions in sight. But do you know what we CAN solve together? A cozy mystery! *

This special program series wants to bring back the comfort of having a story read to you. Each one-hour session will consist of Brandon narrating a section from a selected cozy mystery followed by a brief session to dish on whodunnit and why-they-dunnit.

If you’re someone who likes to craft, feel free to bring your stuff to knit, crochet, bead, and more to the program.

Come help us solve the case! Refreshments and mysterious thrills will be provided.
