Open Position: Reference & Digital Services Librarian

The Whitehall Public Library is seeking to hire a part-time Reference and Digital Services Librarian committed to customer service and teamwork. This 21 hour per week position demands enthusiasm and skills around a variety of reference services, including: one-on-one technology assistance, digital services training and oversight, reference service, reader’s advisory and library displays. Our award-winning busy library is customer and equity driven. We require a self-motivated creative multi-tasker, someone who is tech savvy and not afraid to wear many hats! Patience, kindness and a sense of humor are a must. This is a great opportunity to work with an amazing team in a fantastic community that values and supports its public library. 

Starting hourly rate is $21/hour with paid sick and vacation time. Candidates must have an MLIS and some public library and/or customer service experience, preferred. Candidates must also be flexible to work an evening shift and an occasional Saturday. Note: All prospective Whitehall Library staff must provide PA Criminal History Record, Child Abuse Clearances, FBI fingerprint check and complete a mandated reporter training prior to beginning employment.
